RUSSELL, SIEBURGER

Mrs. James Russell died of a heart attack at her home here about 8 p.m. Thursday. A short funeral services was held at the Conner funeral home here Saturday evening with Rev. James Wray in charge. Music was furnished by Mrs. Ben Frederick and Isabelle and Evelyn Stevens. Following the service here the body was taken to Butler, Mo., the Russell’s former home where the funeral and burial took place Monday.

Sophia Maria Louisa Sieburger, daughter of Henry and Sophia Sieburger, was born at Rome, Iowa, November 25, 1874. On December 6, 1889 she was united in marriage to James Albert Russell of Rome, Iowa, who is left to mourn her loss. At the time of her death June 12, 1941, they were living at Conrad where they had made their home for several years.

To this union were born six children, all of whom survive her. They are: Mrs. Bertha Mea Reed, Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Lillian Maxey, Butler, Mo.; Otto Glenn Russell, Conrad; Mrs. Edward A. Aden of Pomeroy; James Harold Russell, New Richland, Minn.; and Mrs. Charles Childress, of Lee’s Summit, Mo. She is also survived by a brother, John Sieburger of Rogers, Ark.; a sister, Mrs. Matilda Wynn of Peoria, Ill. and eight grandchildren, Gloria Anita Ashen, who has made her home with her grandparents, Jessie Mignon, Carmen and H. O. Maxey, of Butler, Mo.; Glenn Russell of Conrad; Jimmie and Curtis Russell of New Richland, Minn., and Charles Russell Childress of Lee’s Summit, Mo.

Mrs. Russell was a faithful, loving wife and mother. Her life was wholly devoted to her home and family. She was a member of the German Lutheran church.
