Mrs. Anna Bray Dies Saturday; Burial at Conrad Monday
Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Bray were held at the Alexander Funeral Home in Conrad Monday afternoon. Mrs. Bray died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown last Saturday morning, Sept. 7. She had long been a sufferer of diabetes and had been a patient in the hospital since last Wednesday.
Rev. E. C. Allen, pastor of the Methodist church officiated. Mrs. Lucile K. Wood and Mrs. G. R. Gould sang with Mrs. Frank Dostal at the piano. The flowers were cared for by Mrs. W. D. Schmidt and Mrs. Will Krumradt and pall bearers were Lawrence Morrison, M. E. Ralston, Wm. Krumradt, J. L. Hessellmus, Wm. Schmidt and R. C. Dickover. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
Anna Serine, the daughter of William G. and Mary A. Serine, was born at State Center, Iowa, March 11, 1869 and died September 7, 1940, at the age of 70 years, 5 months and 27 days. She was married to William Bray and to this union one child was born, who died in infancy.
She has resided in this community since 1912 and was a member of the Methodist church. She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Jessie Stover of Conrad, and also several nieces and nephews.
