Daniel Meester Buried Monday

The funeral of Daniel J. Meester, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Meester, of Pleasant Valley township, who died Thursday, May 21, was held Monday, May 25, at the home of his sister Mrs. John Oelman. His age was 55 years.

The deceased had been ill with pernicious anemia for about a year. He was born December 1, 1886, in Pleasant Valley township and spent his entire life on the home farm. He was a faithful worker, a good neighbor and friend, and had the respect of all who knew him.

The last few months of his life were spent at the home of his sister, Mrs. John Oelman, who cared for him until his death Thursday, May 21.

Funeral services were held at the Oelman home by Rev. Hayenga, later at the Colfax Presbyterian church, with Rev. Geo. Swalve in charge.

The pall bearers were Ben Wiltfang, Carl Voss, Alfred Peters, Dick Werkman, Jake Everets and Henry Muller.

Interment was made at the Parkersburg Reformed church cemetery, with Rev. A. Linneman in charge.
