Death of Mrs. Borchers

Mrs. Borchers died Monday morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. John Loots, eight miles north west of Grundy Center. She was taken sick about six weeks ago and from that time on she failed gradually until the end came. Funeral services will be held at Drake's church at twelve o'clock Friday.

Mrs. Borchers was a native of Ostfriesland. She was born seventy-eight years ago. In 1873 with her family she came to this country and they located at Adeline, Ill., where they resided for eight years. In the year 1881 the family moved to near Parkersburg, where they lived until 1903 and where the husband died. Following the death of her husband Mrs. Borchers made her home with her children. For several years she lived with her daughter Mrs. John Loots and family.

Deceased is survived by six children, one son and six daughters. The children are Mrs. Davids of Montana, Mrs. Geerd DeVries of Sibley, Mrs. John Loots of this county, Bochert Borchers of Klemme, Mrs. A. Nieman of Kanawha, Mrs. Geo. Steen of Allendorf.
