Harold Rindels, Age 60, Died
Harold Rindels, 60, of Wellsburg, died Monday, November 5, 1979 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital where he had been admitted earlier that day. He had been afflicted with a heart condition and emphysema.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 in the Stout Reformed Church with Rev. Mark Volkers of the Stout Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be in the Stout cemetery.
He was born April 28, 1919 at Buck Grove near Wellsburg, Grundy county, Iowa, the son of Jacob and Jennie Harrenstein Rindels. He attended the Wellsburg school. On January 3, 1947 he was married to Helena Tjaden at the Reformed Church in Stout. They have lived in the Stout and Wellsburg area all of their married life, where he was engaged in farming. He served in the army during World War II and was a former member of the Brotherhood of the Church at Stout.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
His survivors include his wife, Helena, two sons, Darwin and Darius at home, three sisters, Mrs. Ordie Arends of Fern, Mrs. Sarah Alberts of Parkersburg, Mrs. Herman (Janet) Akkerman of Grundy Center and one brother, Herman Rindels of Dike.
