Holland Woman Dies In Deaconess Hospital

Mrs. Behrend Buskohl, 83, of Holland died late Saturday in the Deaconess hospital of gall bladder trouble and other ailments incident to advanced age. About four weeks ago she fractured her right hip in a fall and had been a patient in the hospital since that time.

Mrs. Buskohl was born in Germany and came to this country as a young woman, living the rest of her life on a farm north of Holland. Her husband died 24 years ago and she also was preceded in death by two daughters, Gertie and Mrs. Jennie Flater.

Seven sons and one daughter survive, Heye and Willie, who lived with her on the home farm, Menno, Harm, Henry, Wessel and Ben Buskohl and Mrs. Harm Grotte, all of the Holland community. She also is survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Colfax Presbyterian church in charge of Rev. George Swalve. Burial was in the church cemetery.
