Gone home

Mrs. Eleanor Elliott passed from this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William Ganfield, in Iowa Falls, Sunday morning, March 18th, being 86 years of age, having lived more than the allotted time of three years and ten. The funeral services were held at Iowa Falls. Her body was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the cemetery at Grundy Center. She now rests from her labor and her works follow her to the morning of the resurrection of the dust. In early life she gave her heart to God and for many years has lived a devoted life int he service of the Master. She has been a faithful member of the M. E. church during the greater part of her life. she was quiet and unassuming in her Christian life, yet always exerted a blessed influence by her Christ-like spirit. Her bereaved loved ones will ever cherish the blessed memory of her life of devotion and love. In her last illness she found great comfort in repeating the precious promises of her Heavenly Father. Only a short time before she passed away she repeated the twenty-third Psalm. This she leaves as her experience, what more could we ask for? Our hearts say: "Let Me die the Death of the Righteous, and Let My Death be Like Theirs."
