Arnold Dewitt Pyle Jr., 87, of Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, formerly of 1707 East Mitchell, Waterloo died Saturday, October 25, 2003.

He was born July 13, 1916 in Waterloo, son of Arnold and Anna Strohbehn Pyle.

Dewitt attended Reinbeck High School as he was growing up. He married Florence Kotz in May of 1949. She died August 23, 2001.

He worked at Herrick Refrigeration for 10 years and then for the St. Francis Hospital as a Custodian, retiring in 1981. Dewitt was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Dewitt is survived by his sister, Maxine Martens of Waterloo; a nephew Phil Martens and his wife Becky of Waterloo; and a niece Kay and her husband Vic Ecklund of Colorado Springs, CO.

He is preceded in death by his parents and wife.
