Mrs. Nina M. Kroeze, daughter of S.W. and Alma Lamb Elliott, was born in Jackson Township, Hardin County IA on May 7, 1909. She married Virgil Brown May 20, 1925 and in 1932 the family came to make their home in Parkersburg. Her husband died in 1961 and in November, 1963, she married Hommo Kroeze and moved to the present home south of Parkersburg. She was a member of the Parkersburg United Methodist Church.

She was admitted to Allen Memorial Hospital [Waterloo IA] on Tuesday evening, March 20, 1972 and died there the following evening at the age of 63 years, 10 months and 14 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Virgil Brown, and by one brother. Surviving are her husband, Hommo Kroeze of Parkersburg; one son, Alvin Brown of Parkersburg; one daughter, Alma Jean (LeRoy) Adelmund of Parkersburg; six grandchildren, one great granddaughter; and two brothers, Sam Elliott of Grundy Center and Floyd Elliott of Iowa Falls.

Burial in Hazel Green Cemetery at Ackley IA.
