Chas. E. Wilson was born April 9, 1877, and departed this life December 18, 1895, aged 18 years, 8 months and 9 days. Charlie's mother died when he was three years old and he lost his father about three years ago. A sister also died last May. Deceased leaves four brothers and two sisters to mourn his early departure. After the death of his father he made his home with his brothers and sisters, and being the youngest child he was the pride of the family and greatly loved by all. No one can fill the place made vacant by his departure. He was sick almost a year and yet no one ever heard a word of complaint from him. He often expressed himself as willing and ready whenever the time came for him to go home. He seems to have had his confidence in one who is mighty to save. We shall see him in the resurrection. The funeral was conducted by Rev. W. F. Allen, pastor of the Baptist church, at the Alice church in Melrose township. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to their last resting place.
