Benj. Theimer, whose dangerous illness was noted last week, died at his home just south of New Hartford on Feb. 1, of heart and lung trouble. He was born in Germany and came to this country about 24 years ago and settled on the farm where he died. He served in the German army and was shot through the thigh which caused his lameness. Mr. Theimer leaves two sons and three daughters, grown. He was greatly respected by those who knew him and was a sturdy, honorable citizen. Funeral services were conducted on Sunday, Feb. 3, by Rev. Past, pastor of the German Lutheran church in this city.--Cedar Falls Gazette
