Floyd E. Philbrick, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Philbrick north of town, died at the home of his parents January 25, 1893, age 32 years. He died on his birthday. He had been afflicted with that disease which naught but death relieves--heart trouble. He was born in Bailyville, Ogle county, Illinois, January 25, 1861. When but three years old he came to this county with his parents and was reared in this community where his friends were warm and numerous. He was a young man of generous impulses, and good habits, and possessed an affectionate and loving disposition. Cut down in early manhood when life's prospects were the brightest, his death will be deeply felt and sadly deplored by his friends and loved ones. He was married December 30, 1890, at Adeline, Ill., to Miss Nettie McFarland. Rev. Archer, formerly of this place, was summoned from Maquoketa, Ia., to conduct the services which occurred at the residence Friday, January 28th, and the remains were interred in Rose Hill cemetery. The bereaved ones have the sympathy of the entire community.
