Hans Hansen, the father of James Hansen, suicided Tuesday forenoon at the home of Mr. Hansen near Fredsville. He tied a rope to the hinge of the door and around his neck, could almost sit down in a chair by him but was hanging on one side of it. Grief over the injury his grandson, Willie Hansen, sustained last April by having one of his feet crushed while hauling stone, and despondency are supposed to have led to the rash deed. He was 84 years old; has been in this country seven years, his wife having died in Denmark. Funeral from the home of his son Wednesday.
