Peter Bettenga of Colfax township, died September 15, 1892, of cancer of the stomach. He was born in Germany in 1837, and emigrated to Illinois in 1869, and moved to this county in 1879, where he continued to reside until his death. Funeral services were held last Saturday, Rev. J. Blesscher officiating, and the remains were laid at rest in Lincoln Center cemetery. The deceased leaves a family and a large number of friends to mourn his demise.
