Linda Paterni, of Parkersburg, passed away Saturday, October 16, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. She reached the age of 46 years and 14 days.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 20, in Bethel Lutheran Church, Parkersburg, with Rev. Gary Olson officiating.

Pallbearers were Kevin Mennen, Kent Tuitjer, Royce Paterni, Stanley Paterni, Eldon Myers and Steve Holland.

Interment followed in the Salem Cemetery, Parkersburg.

Linda was born the daughter of Richard and Carrie Marks Paterni on October 2, 1947, in Waterloo. She received her education in the Parkersburg School and graduated from Parkersburg High School in 1965.

In 1966, Linda was employed at the Parkersburg State Bank, later the Peoples Bank and now the Norwest Bank all in the same building in Parkersburg. She retired this fall due to her cancer illness.

Linda was very active in her Christian Faith. She was baptized on December 7, 1947, in the Wellsburg Reformed Church and was confirmed in 1962, at Salem Lutheran Church, rural Parkersburg. She presently was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Parkersburg, where she had served on the church board and as church treasurer, sang in the choir and often sang duets, presently on the women's board and belonged to Circle Ruth.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard, who died on June 2, 1961.

Linda is survived by her mother, Carrie Paterni of Parkersburg.
