Phyllis Corwin, 76, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Saturday, July 3, 2010, at Parkview Manor in Reinbeck, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Wednesday, July 7, 2010, at First Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck, Iowa, with Rev. Michael Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at the Reinbeck Cemetery in Reinbeck. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 6, 2010, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at French Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck. A memorial fund has been established.

Phyllis Ann was born February 12, 1934, in Grundy Center, Iowa, the daughter of Jack and Daisy (McCurdy) McIntyre. She attended school in Morrison till the 8th grade and then Reinbeck graduating with the class of 1951. Phyllis was united in married to Howard Corwin on January 10, 1958 in Waterloo, Iowa. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Reinbeck, Iowa. Phyllis lived in Grundy County all her life first in Morrison then moving to Reinbeck in 1972. Phyllis worked as a waitress for several local restaurants, most remembered at Sky Way Supper Club for her unique way with the customers. Most of all she loved playing cards, making trips to the casinos and spending quality time with her family and friends.

Phyllis is survived by her husband, Howard of Reinbeck; her children, Lory (David) Voss of Sumner, IA, Rory (Jody) Corwin of Reinbeck, IA; son-in-law, Rodney Ragsdale; 7 grandchildren, David (Rachel) Ragsdale, Kristina Ragsdale, Bailey and Brock Voss; Jadie, Erin and Madison Corwin; one great grandson, Mason Heise; sisters, Neva (Dell) Hall of Olympia, WA, Eva Mae Beckwith of Dike; brother, Dale (Mary) McIntyre of Reinbeck; in-laws, Idabelle McIntyre, Gussie McIntyre, Joan Troug and many nieces and nephews.

Preceeded in death by her parents; her daughter, Teresa Ragsdale; brothers, Omer, Robert, LaVerne, Donald and Roger; sisters, Vivian Aldridge, Mary Jane Brown and Faye Lowe.
