Daniel J. Billerbeck, 52, of Reinbeck, Iowa, died Friday, April 9, 2010, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital. Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at French Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, IA, with Pastor Joel Love officiating. Burial will be held privately at Reinbeck Cemetery at a later date. Memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2010 at French Hand Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.

Daniel was born on July 15, 1957, in Grundy Center, Iowa to his parents Gaylord and JoAnn Billerbeck. He graduated from Reinbeck High School and then attended Kirkwood College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa for two years. After school he went on to begin his career as a truck driver. He drove his own truck for several years and then went on to drive for PCI in Reinbeck for the rest of his career.

Daniel loved his horse he had as a boy and his family remembers him as a person who loved to spend his free time with his friends and family.

Daniel is survived by his father Gaylord; brother, Michael; sisters Jacque and Pam (Brad) Konicek; step brother Jack Roehr; step sisters Sherrie (Tom) Moore and Shellie Atkins (Sam Sablon); six nieces and his uncle Paul (Wanda) DauSchmidt.

He is preceded in death by his mother, JoAnn and his grandparents.
