Maxene Adair 96, a resident of Parkview Manor in Reinbeck, died there, Saturday, February 20, 2010. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the United Methodist Church, Reinbeck, Iowa, with Pastor Terry Plocher officiating. Burial will be held at Geneseo Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or Parkview Manor Nursing Home.

Maxene was born on February 16, 1914 in Geneseo Township, Tama County, the daughter of Harry M. Adair and Pearl Taylor Adair. She was baptized in the Geneseo Methodist Church in February 1914.

Maxene graduated from Reinbeck High School with the Class of 1932. She attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines and graduated in 1936. Maxene’s adult life was spent in the Toledo and Hudson area, moving to Parkview Manor in April of 2006.

Maxene joined the Dike Methodist Church in 1933 and has been a member of the Reinbeck Methodist church since 1938.

Maxene is survived by two brothers, Merlin (Jeanette) Adair of Reinbeck and Frank (Floriss) Adair of Toledo; a sister, Florence (Don) Schildroth of Reinbeck; and ten nieces and seven nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers, Dale and Harry Adair.
