Services for Emil F. Wulf, 91, Rapid City, will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Behrens Mortuary with the Rev. Henry Bradshaw and the Rev. Dwight Snesrud officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery.

A memorial has been established to the First Congregational Church and the Black Hills Retirement Center.

Wulf died Saturday at Rapid City Regional Hospital. He was born Jan. 10, 1891, at Reinbeck, Iowa. He married Gladys L. East on Aug. 15, 1917, at New Underwood. He came from Iowa to the New Underwood area, where he farmed, worked for the railroad and did construction work.

He served with the U.S. Army during WWI.

They moved to Rapid City in 1927, where he worked on the construction of the Alex Johnson Hotel. Later he was the engineer for the hotel for 26 years, retiring in 1961.

Survivors include two sisters, Mathilda Wulf of Des Moines, Iowa, and Ann Ross of Wellsburg, Iowa; numerous nieces and nephews; two sisters-in-law, Maurine Wulf of Lead and Elizabeth Johnson of Rapid City.

He was preceded in death by his wife, in 1966, one daughter, four brothers and two sisters.
