Funeral Services For Mrs. W. E. Reed Last Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. W. E. Reed, who died in the hospital at Iowa City were held in the Reformed church at Wellsburg last Thursday afternoon with the local pastor, Rev. Wm. Landsiedel, officiating. The services were largely attended.

Mrs. Reed was 52 years old. She was born in Chicago. She was a daughter of the late J. C. Doyen. She grew up in this vicinity and was married here to W. E. Reed in 1900. She resided here during her early married life and about 22 years ago the family moved to West Bend where they remained until about a year ago when they moved to Belle Plaine.

Surviving relatives are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Bernice Stolting from Storm Lake and Joe Lael Reed, who is at home. There are two sons, Sherman and Sheridan Reed, two brothers H. H. and John Doyen of Wellsburg, four sisters, Mrs. Jay Hileman, Waterloo; Mrs. Pete Peters, Worthington, MN; Mrs. Andrew Meyer, Marshalltown and Miss Bertha Doyen, Wellsburg.
