Frederick W. Peatow, Sr., 74, born Mar. 2, 1870, near Freeport, Ill., son of Henry and Sophia Peatow; at the age of 14 came with his parents to the Reinbeck community, which has since been his home; he engaged for a time in farming, and in later years was employed in township road work; on June 14, 1922, he married Miss Ruth Johnston at Reinbeck; leaves widow; three children, First Class Seaman Fred Peatow, Jr., of the U. S. coast guard, Baltimore, Md.; Mrs. Warren M. Lewis and Miss Ruth Peatow, both of Reinbeck; one grandchild; and two sisters, Mrs. Louisa Porter and Mrs. Nels Petersen, Reinbeck; parents and three brothers, Henry, Edward and William preceded him; member of the Union Congregational church here, which he joined May 5, 1889; for many years he served the church as an usher; funeral Wednesday.
