John Kneppe, Age 82, is Buried at Parkersburg

Grundy Center, Ia., Feb. 17--Mrs. Lindaman, Wellsburg, was in Parkersburg Monday to attend the funeral of her father, John Kneppe, whose remains were brought there from Chicago, where he died at the Baptist Old People's home. Funeral services were at the Baptist church, conducted by Rev. Mr. Hack and Rev. Mr. Siemsen. The remains were laid in Oak Hill cemetery. John Kneppe was born Nov. 27, 1837, in Weener Ostfriesland, and at his death was 82 year old. His wife, whose maiden name was Talea Schumaker, died 15 years ago. The four children are: Mrs. Lindaman, Wellsburg; John Kneppe, Canery, Minn.; Peter Kneppe, Buck Grove, this county, and Bernard Kneppe, Parkersburg. While the wife lived the family made their home on a farm north of Parkersburg.
