The Parkersburg Eclipse of last week says, Mrs. John A. Edmond, of Buck Grove, died from the effects of a rattlesnake bite, on Sunday. She was binding grain and on approaching a gavel the snake bit her twice on the ankle. The effect was dreadful in the extreme. Dr. Ensign was called but not until she was past all human aid. Her limbs swelled to a fearful size and turned black while the poor woman's agony was terrible until death relieved her.
