Funeral services for A. H. Thomas, who died at the home of his mother in Green Mountain October 6th, were held at Green Mountain last Friday and they were largely attended.

Mr. Thomas suffered for a year from high blood pressure and kidney trouble. His condition became so bad early in the spring that he was compelled to give up his duties in the store at Morrison. He went to the hospital in Marshalltown in May to receive treatment and for a time he seemed to be getting better. Since he left the hospital he was at the home of his mother at Green Mountain up to the time of his death.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas lived at Green Mountain following their marriage until ten years ago when they came to Morrison where Mr. Thomas entered the mercantile business. The following year he took his brother-in-law, John Anderson, into partnership and the firm has been operating under the name of Thomas & Anderson. Mr. Thomas was also Morrison's postmaster.

Surviving relatives are the widow, one son, Lawrence, living in New York, and a daughter, Neva, who is at home, his mother, whose home is at Green Mountain, one brother, Clayton, at Beaman, and the other brother Reymond resides at Green Mountain.

Mr. Thomas was a community booster and stood high in the communities where he spent his active life.
