Services Thursday For Leonard Stuck

Leonard E. Stuck, age 90, died at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Tuesday afternoon. Services will be held at the Ferree Funeral Home in Grundy Center on Thursday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. Burial will be in the Grundy Center cemetery.

Leonard Stuck was born April 30, 1868, in Wayne county, Indiana. He was married to Carolyn Sweet, who preceded him in death in 1944. Since then he had been living part of the time with his step-daughter, Mrs. Elbert Peters, at Buckingham.

Surviving are six nephews and nieces, three grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

During his lifetime, Mr. Stuck worked as a teamster, a contractor, and spent much time in the training of horses for horseracing. He spent nearly all of his life in Grundy Center.

He was confined in a nursing home in Traer a number of months before he was brought to the Grundy hospital a week before his death.
