Grundy Center, la.—Funeral services were held from the New Presbyterian Church here for Mrs. Hertha Somksen, wife of Erich Somksen, a farmer living near Holland, this county.

Mrs. Somksen had been in falling health for the past year and a half. She was born in Buchholz, Germany, 30 years ago.

Besides the husband, she leaves a daughter, 10, and a son four. Other relatives are a mother, Mrs. Emily Tessai, three sisters, Mrs. Ernest Buhrmann, Reinbeck; Mrs. Henry Sass, Lincoln; Mrs. Herman Vogt, Grundy Center, and three brothers, William and Emil, of Lincoln and Adolph, of Starbuck, Minnesota.

Interment was in Maple Hill Cemetery near Gladbrook.
