Wellsburg Farmer Meets Tragic Death Under Heavy Wagon

Grundy Center, Ia., Aug. 14.—George Getting met a tragic death at his home, four miles north of Wellsburg, at 10 a.m. Tuesday. Mr. Getting was preparing to start threshing and was hitching the horses to the watertank wagon. All at once the horses started up, throwing Mr. Getting directly in the patch of the heavy wagon which crushed his body. He was killed almost instantly. Mr. Getting was a son of John Getting of Holland. He leaves a widow and five children. He was 50 years old.
