Stacey Lea Van Heiden, 44 of Wellsburg, died November 16 at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Memorial services were held November 21 at the St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Wellsburg. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family.

Stacey was born November 19, 1958 in Grundy Center, the daughter of Lavern and Kay Van Heiden. She attended school in Wellsburg, graduating in 1977. She attended two years at Drake. Stacey worked for Principal Financial Co. for 20 years, working in the insurance section as a claims adjuster. Stacey moved back to Wellsburg in 1997. Stacey was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Survivors include her daughters, Erin and Devin Higgins at home; parents, Vern and Kay Van Heiden of Wellsburg; a brother, Lance and his wife Cindy Van Heiden of Wellsburg; and three sisters, Marsha Van Heiden of Wellsburg, Paula and husband Larry Klosterboer of Newton and Sara and husband Todd Wagner of Grundy Center.
