Mrs. J. Meinderts Dies Suddenly

Mrs. John Meinderts died quite suddenly at her home in Wellsburg about six o'clock Friday evening. She and her brother, Ben Heronimus, had been living together in Wellsburg. Shortly before six in the evening she complained to her brother that she was not feeling well and went to her room to lie down. Her brother went into his sister's room a little later and found her dead on her bed. A heart attack is believed to have brought on death suddenly. She was 84 years old.

Funeral services were held at the Reformed church in Wellsburg at 1:30 Tuesday afternoon. The body was brought to the church at ten o'clock. Burial was in the cemetery adjoining the church. The services were conducted by Rev. Edw. Jurgens.

Mrs. Meinderts was born in Wibelsum, Germany, June 17th, 1866. She was married to John Meinderts in 1893. The couple lived the greater part of their life in Grundy county. They resided at Holland several years. Mr. Meinderts died seven years ago. Five years ago Mrs. Meinderts moved from Holland to Wellsburg. For a number of years her brother, Ben Heronimus, made his home with her. The couple had six sons, all of whom died in infancy.

Surviving are her brother, Ben Heronimus, and her sister, Mrs. John Hoodjer.

Casketbearers at the service were George Sietsema, Peter A. Eckhoff, George A. Geerdes, Will Janssen, Herman Haack and Geo. Hayenga.
