Twyla C. Gouak, 82, died January 12, 2004 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 14 at Brooks Funeral Care – University Chapel. Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Wednesday at Maple Hill Cemetery in Gladbrook, Iowa

Twyla was born in Washington Township, Grundy County, Iowa and had lived in Rochester, MN before moving to Urbandale three years ago. She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening.

Twyla will be missed by her daughters, Ellen (Dennis) Graham and Nancy (David) Lappin, both of Urbandale; grandchildren, Sarah Brooks of Ankeny, Michael Graham of Cedar Rapids, and Michael Lappin of Orlando, FL; great-grandchildren, Olivia and Alexandra Brooks; and sister, Eileen Rash of Aplington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leslie R. Gouak in 1967.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Hospice in Johnston.
