Lena Anderson, 78, of Waverly, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at Waverly Municipal Hospital of natural causes;

Survivors include a son, Donald Storjohann of Cedar Falls; three daughters, Delores Peters of rural Plainfield and Donnalee Dravis and Dianne Lenius, both of Waverly; five grandchildren and four great-granddaughters; a brother, Harvey Beenken of Grundy Center; and four sisters, Kathrina Ridder of New Hartford, Pearl Hartgrave of Cedar Rapids, Clara Hinders of Marshalltown and Lavina Martin of Anamosa.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Hans Storjohann in 1958 and Archie Anderson in 1993; four brothers, Lutjen, Edward, Alfred and Wilbur Beenken; and four sisters, Mariam Bohlen, Leta Gerhoff, Mildred Katzer and Anna Mae Clemmons.

Services are 2 p.m. today at Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, Grundy Center; memorials may be directed to the family.

Mrs. Anderson and her first husband farmed near Waverly until 1958, then she became a licensed practical nurse, retiring in 1984.
