Janice J. Reinig, 64, of Union Grove Lake, rural Garwin, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at her home under the care of Grundy County Hospice, of cancer.

Survivors include her husband, Larry; a son, Mark of Ames; two daughters, Diane Staker of Reinbeck and Donna Cain of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Shirley Schmidt of Iowa City and Jeannie Hubbard of Cedar Rapids.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Leone Kerr Shaffer.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Peace United Church of Christ, Gladbrook, with 3 p.m. burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo; friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck; memorials may be directed to the church or Grundy County Hospice.

Mrs. Reinig worked at Farmers Home Administration Office for 10 years, and then moved to Reinbeck in 1978 and worked as a legal secretary at Rickert Law Office.
