Reinbeck Man Dies of Heart Attack

Reinbeck, IA; Thomas R. Stewart, 75, died Saturday evening at a Waterloo hospital following a two weeks' illness of heart trouble.

Born son of George & Margaret Stewart, July 5, 1863, in Clinton county, Iowa, he came to Grundy County with his parents when he was a young man. He married Miss Jessie Putney near Grundy Center March 16, 1885. After farming for a number of years in O'Brien County he entered the lumber business, being employed for many years by the Line yards.

Four sons & one daughter were born to this union, Ralph, Ladysmith, Wis., Harold, Gayville, S.D.; William, Gladbrook, & Mrs. (Amy) Otto B. Knaack, Reinbeck. One son, Robert, two brothers & one sister preceded him in death, as did his wife, on Dec. 5, 1905.

On Nov. 14, 1912 he was united in marriage to Miss Addie Davidson at Gayville, S.D., who survives him. Mr. Stewart & his wife came to Reinbeck three years ago to make their home. He was a member of the Union Congregational church, Reinbeck. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the Robinson funeral home & at 2:30 p.m. at the Union Congregational church, Rev. R. Cary Hufstader, pastor, in charge. Burial will be in Reinbeck cemetery.
