Mr. Pratt Weds.

Married, Wednesday at 4 p.m., Rev. Clark officiating, at the home of the bride's parents in Wellsburg, Clas, E. Pratt of Eldora to Miss Mabel Chinn. Mr. Pratt is special agent for the Cedar Valley Telephone company and Miss Chinn an operator. Their courtship may have been partly overheard, but as to whether the compact was sealed over wire they say not. Mr. Pratt is a fine appearing young gentleman and is to be congratulated. His boyhood home was at Cedar falls. The bride is the only child of our ex-mayor, Dr. Chinn, and was only a child when they moved here, but has been truly her mother's joy and her father's pride, as through thick and thin she has faithfully stood by her mother and has ably assisted the doctor in not only his professional duties but social and political struggles and the schooling thus acquired has fitted her to be a true helpmate for a husband in his struggles through the battles of life.

She is moreover simply a charming young lady in all other ways, whom no one can help but love and admire, hence none think it strange that Mr. Pratt should form an attachment leading to such a result, though many wonder at his good fortune and hope that the same may follow him and his accomplished bride through life. The wedding trousseau is one of the most elegant ever seen in the county. Their future location is not yet determined, but the Republican joins the friends in wishing them bon voyage, though we are sorry to miss her pencilings and her parents will miss the life of their home. --Grundy Republican.

The Herald joins the many friends of the worthy young couple in the hope that their lives may be spent joyously together and that there may never a sorrow cross their pathway.
