ENSMINGER-CLEMMER--At the residence of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Clemmer, by the Rev. R. N. Earhart, on Thursday, Oct. 22, 1885, Mr. E. G. Ensminger and Miss Ella Clemmer, all of Grundy Center.

Between fifty and sixty invited guests were present to witness the marriage ceremony which was very concise. After the congratulations a sumptuous supper was served which had been prepared by Mrs. Clemmer and her daughter, who know how to get up good things to eat. The bride and groom were the recipients of some very handsome presents, all of which are substantial and useful to those starting out in life. Mr. and Mrs. Ensminger have gone to housekeeping in the rooms over the store. The Republican extends congratulations, wishing the happy couple a pleasant and prosperous life together.

--Grundy County Republican (Grundy Center, Iowa), 28 October 1885
