VERLIN I. FLATT DIES AT JEFFERSON

Verlin I. Flatt, a brother of Joe Flatt, Winterset clothier, died at Jefferson last Thursday at the age of 47 years.

A native of Des Moines, Mr. Flatt had been a resident of Jefferson since 1953, and the Oldsmobile-Chevrolet dealter there.

Survivors include his wife; four children; three brothers, Donald Flatt of Omaha, Howard Flatt of Des Moines and Joe Flatt of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Smock of Oakland, Calif., and Mrs. Mildred Estes of San Lorenzo, Calif., and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the First Methodist church in Jefferson, with burial in the cemetery there.
