PERRY, IA. - Robert K. Galivan, 64, of Perry died of emphysema Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hastings Funeral Home. Burial Will be in the Rippey Cemetery.

Mr. Galivan, who retired from the Deere & Co. Des Moines Works in Ankeny, was born in Rippey and returned to Perry in the mid-1980's. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

Survivors include two sons, Bob and Bryan, both of Perry; two daughters, Cathy Elliott of Jamaica and Holly Galivan of Des Moines; two brothers, Hal of Perry and Johnny of Marshalltown; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after noon Thursday and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home where the family will meet friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday. ~ The Des Moines Register, Des Moines, Iowa. Jan 1991.
