"Obituary of Mrs. Dennis H. Sutter".-- Nancy Angeline Evans was born March 19, 1851 at Winterset, Iowa in Madison county and departed this life in San Dimas, Calif., on Feb. 6, 1941, at the age of 89 years 10 months and 18 days. She was converted at the age of 16 and always lived a faithful Christian life and at the time of death was a member of the San Dimas Holiness church.

She was united in marriage August 1, 1870 to Dennis H. Sutter and to this union five children were born. They moved to Fremont county in the year 1884 from O'Brien county and settled seven miles north of Sidney, always living in this county until 1915 when they moved to Cheyenne, Wyo., moving from there in the fall of 1920 to San Dimas, where she lived until her death.

Those preceding her in death are her husband on June 16, 1915 (sic) and two children, Mrs. Gertrude Orr, June 16, 1910 and J. O. Sutter on Dec. 16, 1940.

Those left to mourn her loss are her three children, Mrs. D. D. Laird and Ralph Sutter, both of Sidney and Mrs. Tareasea Garvin of San Dimas, with whom she made her home, 20 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren and a great host of relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, Feb. 12, at two in the Mt. Zion church conducted by Rev. John Brant of Tabor and assisted by Ed Worcester. The songs, "We Are Going Down the Valley," " Oh, Think of the Home Over There," "Last Mile of the Way," and "Shall We Gather at the River" were sung by a male quartet from the Faith Home.

Casket bearers were Fred and Frank Bell, Roy and Manley Ruse, Lloyd Stoddard and Walter Irwin. Interment was made in Mt. Zion cemetery.

The text used for the sermon was Mark 14:8, "She hath done what she could." It was chosen by Mrs. Sutter as text a few weeks before her death, and was also used in the funeral services held in San Dimas Sunday afternoon.

Those attending the services from a distance were Mrs. Tareasea Garvin of San Dimas, Mr.and Mrs. Frederick Schneider of Sioux City, Henry Laird of O'Neil, Nebr., Leon Laird of Ames, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Potter of Nebraska City.
