Edward Blakely one of the pioneer and well-to-do residents of this locality, passed away at his home, one and a half miles east of Randolph, last Tuesday about noon following a long illness.

Mr. Blakely had been in very poor health for a number of months and for the past few months and for the past few weeks he had been failing quite rapidly, therefore his demise was not unexpected.

Funeral services will be held this (Thursday) forenoon at 10 o'clock at the family residence and burial will be in the Randolph Cemetery by the side of his wife who died many years ago.
