Riverton, Iowa, Sept. 19
John Jungquist, a native of Sweden, aged 46 years, died at his late residence in this place Sept. 15.

Mr. Jungquist was an old and prominent citizen of this town, having come here in 1872, an emplyee of the C., B. & Q., railroad, as a section foreman, which position he held until about a year ago when sickness compelled him to give up that place.

He was a member of the Masonic, Odd Fellow and Knights of Pythias lodges, the latter of which buried him, using its beautiful and impressive ceremony. Mr. Jungquist leaves a widow and three young children, two boys and a girl, to mourn his loss. He died of cancer.
