MRS. A. FRIEDMAN PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Fannie Friedman, wife of Abe Friedman and resident of Hamburg for the past six years, passed away Thursday evening in an Omaha hospital, where she had suffered a stroke on Monday. Mrs. Friedman fail to regain consciousness following the first attack. Mr. Friedman remained with her through her last illness.

Mrs. Friedman was a native of Russia and 57 years of age. She had made many friends in Hamburg during her residence here and was a member of the Sunshine Chapter of O.E.S., the Hamburg Rebekah Lodge and of the Hays-Jensen Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion Auxiliary. She had a kind and generous disposition and could always be counted on to do her part.

She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Sidney Eichenwald of Kansas City, two sons, Edwin H. and Phillip both of Hamburg; four granddaughter, one grandson and many friends.

Funeral services were held Friday in Council Bluffs, with burial at Walnut Hill cemetery. Business houses in Hamburg closed during the hour of the funeral in respect to the deceased and the members of her family.
