JAMES H. CAUDLE OBITUARY
This community was saddened Thursday with the news of the death of James Caudle, a highly respected citizen of Watson. He had been ill for several months, suffering from a kidney ailment. All that could be done for his comfort, was done by his family and friends.
James Hugh Caudle, the only child of William and Fannie Caudle, was born near Watson, Oct. 2, 1905, and passed away at the Hamburg hospital Thursday Nov. 16, 1950, at the age of 45 years, 1 month and 14 days.
He was married to Susan Hartness, Sept. 12, 1931, and to them one daughter, Barbara Jeanette, was born. His father preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and daughter, his mother, other relatives and many friends.
As a young man he was employed as a clerk in the M.A. McNeal store. Later he engaged in farming. He was deeply interested of the Baptist church, where his funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 18, conducted by the Rev. C.E. Kingsley of Hamburg. Burial was at High Creek cemetery.
