DEATH OF WILLIAM MAWHOR

Funeral services for William T. Mawhor were held at the Methodist Church in Shelby on Sunday afternoon at one o'clock. Rev. E.E. Pengolly, pastor of the church conducted the service. The body was taken to Riverton, Iowa for burial.

Mr. Mawhor passed away at his home in Shelby as the result of a stroke of paralysis which ocurred on Christmas Day.

William T. Mawhor was born Aug. 16. 1866 at Philadelphia, Pa. and when a small boy came with his parents to Fremont County, Ia., where they lived until 1894, moving from there to a farm northeast of Shelby, Nebraska. Mr. Mawhor later moved to town and was postmaster at Shelby for thirteen years.

His parents, two brothers and two sisters have preceded him in death. He is survived by one sister, Ann Mawhor and nine nieces and nephews.

Mr. Mawhor was a member of the Mount Zion Masonic Lodge of Shelby.
