Cascade Pioneer, Published in Cascade, Iowa on Friday, August 16th, 1895

S. P. Strait was shot and killed at Riverton by his stepson, John Marain, 17 years of age. It was claimed that the shooting was accidental. Strait married Marain’s mother July 4th.
