Robert Ness, mayor of Imogene, died suddenly in the railroad yards of that city while engaging in loading a car of grain. Heart disease is the supposed cause. He was 65 years of age.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows a Robert Ness buried in Monroe Cemetery but it shows he was born March 20, 1833 and died December 1, 1905. The birth date doesn’t agree with the above age.
