Mrs. Lucinda R. Penney, died at her home near Tabor, 18 May 1895 at 10 P.M. She was the wife of John C. Penney in the 52nd year of her life. The only tie that bound her here was the love of her little family and friends.

A few years ago Leland Smith of Tabor, Fremont County, Iowa, abstracted obituaries from the Tabor Beacon newspaper. Tabor is on the county line between Mills and Fremont County, therefore the paper printed obituaries from both counties. These were later microfilmed by the LDS Church on microfilm #1491976.
