DIED at her home near Sidney, Friday, April 27, Miss Lucinda Evelyn Crouch. She was born in Washington county, Indiana in July 1851. At the age of fifteen she became a member of the Methodist church of which she was a member at the time of her death.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church conducted by Rev. Stephen. His remarks were based on the text "She hath done what she could." She leaves to mourn her loss, two sisters in Kansas, one in Oregon, and one brother, William Crouch of Thurman, Iowa.
