William Scoles Dies

William Scoles was born in Fremont County, Iowa, April 26, 1867 and grew to manhood here. He was united in marriage to Effie McCrory, Feb. 26, 1890 at Riverton, Iowa, and to this union five children were born. A son, Cecil passed away in 1933 and a daughter, Mrs. Willis Cook, Sr., passed away in 1935. Surviving him are Floyd of Otto, Iowa; Mrs. Thom Mastim and Mrs. Ray Coon of Sioux City.

Mr. and Mrs. Scoles moved to Woodbury County in 1902 where they farmed until 1938, when they retired and moved to Leeds. They lived there until the death of Mrs. Scoles in 1948. Since that time, Mr. Soles had lived with his son, Floyd at Oto, Iowa, where he passed away Feb. 4, 1950 at the age of 82 years, 9 moths, and 9 days.
