Kimber Smiths hold 50th open house Sun.

Mr. and Mrs. Kimber Smith of Nebraska City, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, March 29, by holding open house from 2:30 to 5:00 at the Hamburg Baptist Church.
Guests were greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Smith and Carol Smith. Mrs. Charles Trivelpiece, granddaughter, was in charge of the guest book. Mrs. Carl Smith, daughter-in-law, and Geraldine Smith, granddaughter, were in charge of the gift table.

Mrs. Don Milburn, daughter, presided at the serving table with Mrs. Alton Vogel and Mrs. Veta Woodward assisting. The table was laid with a white lace tablecloth. It was centered with a floral arrangement of yellow snaps and pompoms set in a crystal bowl. On each side were gold tapers in crystal holders.

Mrs. Jerry Vawter and Mrs. Mearle Risdon were in charge of the dinning room. Mrs. Oren Winkler, Mrs. Alex Vogel, Mrs. Boyd Richardson, Mrs. Jack Douglas, and Mrs. Walter Stenzel were in charge of the kitchen. Boyd Richardson took pictures throughout the afternoon.

About 100 guests visited the couple, including a sister of Mrs. Smith’s, Mrs. Lena Stary of Laramie, Wyoming. Three of their children Mrs. E. M. Whitten of Norwalk, California. Mrs. O. V. Smith of Medford, Oregon and Walter Smith of Fontana, California were unable to attend.
