In the Name of God, Amen. I, Isaac Dilse of the County of Fremont and State of Iowa, being weak of
body but of sound and perfect memory do make and publish this my last will and testament in
manner and form following, That is to say:

First: I give my wife, Mary, all my personal property, consisting of one wagon two horses and
harness, two cows and whatever other personal property I am possessed of to have and hold the
right and title to said property as long as she shall live.

Secondly: I give to my aforesaid wife all my real estate as follows: The West half of the North West
fourth and the West half of illegible East half of the NorthWest quarter of Section number Six in
Township Number Seventy North of Range Forty containing one hundred and twenty acres of land
to hae and to hold the said Real Estate and personal property and all right and title to the same
shall vest in my son, Mason Dilse provided he shall comply and fulfill the following described
conditions, to wit: first, he the aforesaid Mason Dils shall build a house on the said land, not less
than sixteen feet by twenty feet, said house to be built and comfortably furnished so that it will be
comfortable for his mother and sister to live in within (98?) months or by the first of September.
Secondly the aforesaid Mason Dils shall give to his mother, Mary Dils and his sister Hester Dils a
good and comfortable maintenance so long as they or either of them shall live.

Thirdly: He, the aforesaid Mason Dils, at the time of his coming in possession of the said real
estate and personal property or at his mother's death shall pay to each and every of the other heirs
$1.00.

Fourthly: Nothing in the above will shall be construed to prevent the aforesaid Mason Dils from
having the use of the said personal property for the purpose of improving the said real estate and
making such improvements other than building the above mentioned house as he shall see proper.

And last I hereby appoint my wife, Mary Dilse and my son, Mason Dils sole executrix and executor
of this, my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made.

In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the 10th day of March 1861.

Signed sealed and declared by the above named Isaac Dils to be his last will and testament in
presence of us who at his request and in his presence of us who have subscribed our names as
witnesses.

State of Iowa, Fremont County
I, W. G. Templeton, Clerk of the Circuit Court of the County and State aforesaid do hereby certify
that at the December Term 1879 of said Court on the 9th day of January 1880 the foregoing Will of
Isaac Dils, Deceased, was duly proven allowed and admitted to Probate.
